oh what fun it is... to be a bride-to-be

the wedding dress shopping went very well. (this picture is of me trying on one of the two that i loved) i think i'm going to order my dress this weekend. i am very excited to see what it will look like after all the alterations. luckily, because i am tall, they won't have to do any hemming, but since i'm pretty tiny all the way around i haven't tried on one dress yet that they haven't had to pin and pull to get to fit... so we'll see. it's all very exciting though. well, i'm off to eat some dinner!

A New Experience

Yesterday, I got pulled over by a cop for the first time in my life. I was heading through a construction zone in an area of town that I had never been before, looking for a church that might work for a wedding ceremony, and trying to find my  mom. This ended in me driving for a little while with a police man behind me flashing his lights and finally having to turn his siren on to get me to realize that I was the one being pulled over. I ended up turning in to the church parking lot that I was looking for, where my mom was already. Let's just say, I was not to happy about the whole thing. I was going to have a double fine for speeding in a construction zone, but in the end he let me off the entire thing, telling me "congratulations, here's your first wedding present." I was crying, due to overload in stress from the week, and my mom walking up to talk to me, and I think he felt sorry for me. All that to say.... I NEVER want that experience again.

Going dress shopping today. I think I'm going to be making my final decision very soon!
